No. X is used for identity and account search. Backchannel does not request permission to post or read your DMs.

When do I need to connect a wallet?

Only when money moves: funding a request or verifying where you want to receive payouts.

What happens if the creator does not reply?

Once the agreed deadline passes, the asker can refund the unanswered request from escrow.

What does Backchannel cost?

Creators receive 95% of released payments. The 5% protocol fee is deducted from the creator payout.

What if the reply is misleading or incomplete?

The asker can open a dispute during the 48-hour window after a reply is delivered.
